Day 10: Help from the future
My peregrinations through history are not deliberate. As you already know, the Wayback Machine is broken. My pal George intended to take me back to Christmas 2024, but that didn’t work out. The seat on the machine was far too small, and I fell off. Ouch!
I landed back in 66 million years ago, back to the age of the talarurus, and this time when I saw one it was full-sized, a full 60 feet long and very, very high! I tried to run away, but it was much faster than me.
Fortunately, Jennifer sent help from the future, in the form of a very large cat:
Timmie is a large cat, of course, somewhat barrel-shaped and very sweet, but even she is not THIS large. I don’t know what happened, but perhaps the time machine that Jennifer used had a bad scale sensor. I’m not sure. At any rate, Timmie snarfed down the dinosaur, then disappeared.
Then I found the blue rock with the question mark on it (see the featured image to this post, above). I’m not sure what it means. Maybe it means I’m on the right track?
Yes, I’m still working through the Dinosaur Advent Calendar from National Geographic. And now I seem to have found a storyline to go with it. I just plopped into the middle of it. Sorry about that. In what passes for the “real world” of 2024 (I’m still sort of in denial), Timmie found the box that I have been keeping the dino-related items in and “liberated” the talarurus from it to play with. Silly Timmie.
I have a sneaking suspicion you left that rock for yourself.
Ooooh, I hadn’t considered that possibility.
