NaNoWriMo 2007

NaNoWriMo Progress, Day One

We had our kickoff party in a cafe in downtown Dixon.  It was pretty successful; get a bunch of overcaffeinated writers, already pumped because it’s Halloween anyway, into one room and the mood can get a bit raucous.  I got home at about 3:00 in the morning, which is probably part of the reason I had such an awful asthma attack on the way to work yesterday morning, resulting in me going back home and calling in sick for the day.  Between the asthma and the exhaustion I didn’t do as much writing during the day as you might think I would, but that’s okay.  Between the kick off party and the time I put in last night, I got about 2,100 words written for day one of National Novel Writing Month.

In all, a pretty good start.
